Breaking: Johan Ferner has died

Johan Ferner was born 27 July 1927 as the son of  Ferner Jacobsen (1885–1964), and  Ragnhild Olsen (1889–1966) {Source}.

He was married twice. His first marriage was from January 1953-1956 to Ingeborg 'Bitte' Hesselberg-Meyer, with whom he had no children. He married for a second time to Princess Astrid of Norway on 12 January 1961 {Source}. With Princess Astrid, he has the following children and grandchildren{Source}:

    2. Madeleine Ferner Johansen (1993)
  2. Benedikte Ferner (1963)

He was decorated with the award of the Olympic Silver Medal (in 6m sailing) in 1952 at the Olympic Games in Finland {Source}.
