Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg was born 11 November 1981, the eldest child of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa{Source}.

Prince Guillaume attended schools in Europe, mostly in Luxembourg, Switzerland, and England {Source}. He attended Lorentzweiler primary school and completed His lower secondary education at Lycée Robert Schuman{Source}. After that, he went to Switzerland, where he attended Collège Beausoleil in the passing his French Baccalaureate in 2001{Source}. From September 2001 to August 2002, he attended Sandhurst Royal Military Academy{Source}, he was commissioned as an officer in the Luxembourg Army in December 2002, and presently holds the rank on Lieutenant-Colonel {Source}. In Switzerland, He was a singer in the school rock band{Source}. Among performing arts, Prince Guillaume particularly enjoys theatre; He took part in several school plays during his studies in Switzerland{Source}. He is also a keen sportsman and enjoys football, tennis, skiing, swimming and water sports{Source}.

Prince Guillaume has also participated in numerous humanitarian and internships.In summer 1997, Prince Guillaume participated in a humanitarian aid camp in Nepal, as a member of the Luxembourg Scout movement{Source}. In 1999, He embarked on a charitable mission to Aguascalientes to bring social and educational assistance to children in one of the poorest regions of Mexico{Source}.In 2003, Prince Guillaume completed a traineeship at Union Chimique Belge, where he participated in the drafting of the company’s historical papers{Source}. In 2004, he internship at Deutsche Bank in London, which enabled him to gain substantial experience in international finance{Source}.
