Royal Profile: Moritz Ludwig Georg Wolf, Hereditary Prince of Hesse

Moritz Ludwig Georg Wolf, Hereditary Prince of Hesse was born on 26 March 2007 as the son of Donatus, Prince and Landgrave of Hesse and Countess Floria Franziska Marie-Luisa Erika von Faber-Castell{Source}.

As his family is a defunct German territorial monarchy, it's likely that he and his siblings live fairly normal lives.

He is the paternal grandson of Moritz, Landgrave of Hesse, and his former wife, Princess Tatiana of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg{Source}.

Royal Profile: Princess Paulina of Hesse

Princess Paulina Elisabeth Adelheid Tatiana Suzanne of Hesse was born on 26 March 2007 as the daughter of Donatus, Prince and Landgrave of Hesse and Countess Floria Franziska Marie-Luisa Erika von Faber-Castell{Source}.

As her family is a defunct German territorial monarchy, it's likely that she and her brothers live fairly normal lives.

She is the paternal granddaughter of Moritz, Landgrave of Hesse, and his former wife, Princess Tatiana of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg{Source}.

Royal Profile: Countess Luana van Oranje-Nassau, Jonkvrouw van Amsberg

Countess Emma Luana Ninette Sophie van Oranje-Nassau, Jonkvrouw van Amsberg was born 26 March 2006 as the elder of two daughters of Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau and Princess Mabel of orange-Nassau {Source}. She has one older sister:
  1. Countess Joanna Zaria Nicoline Milou of Orange-Nassau, Jonkvrouwe van Amsberg (2005)

When she was 8 months old, she was christened with the following godparents:

  1. Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands (her paternal uncle)
  2. Eveline Wisse Smit (a former Dutch hockey player and half sister to her mother)
  3. Baroness Sophie von der Recke (her father's cousin)
  4. Emma Bonino (presumably a friend of her parents-she was also a bridesmaid at her parent's wedding)

Because her father did not seek parlimentary approval before marrying her mother, she is not in line for the throne of The Netherlands. By Royal Decree of 19 March 2004, nr. 126 is determined that all children of the couple will bear the title of Count (Countess) of Orange-Nassau and the honorific Jonkheer (Jonkvrouwe) van Amsberg, and have the surname Van Oranje-Nassau van Amsberg. The titles are hereditary in male lineage {Source}. She is also distantly in line for the British throne, via her ancestor William the Silent (I think-if anyone knows the connection, feel free to let me know).

Due to her parents controversial marriage, she and her sister were primarily raised in London. However, since their father's accident in 2012 and subquent death in 2013, I believe Princess Mabel has returned with her daughters to The Netherlands.

She was named:

  • Emma: for her godmother, Emma Bonino
  • Luanna: Likely a name her parents liked
  • Ninette: Not sure
  • Sophie: for her godmother, Baroness Sophie von der Recke

In August 1989, when it became clear that there were at last going to be changes in Eastern Europe, Princess Margareta left the United Nations Organisation to devote herself to the cause of Romania, working alongside her father{Source} .

The date 18 January 1990 will forever remain in the Princess’s memory, as well as the emotion she felt that day, stepping onto Romania soil for the first time, onto that up until then ''forbidden planet'' which was, in fact, her homeland. Nor will she ever forget the sadness she felt when she visited, together with her sister Sophie, orphanages and old people’s home, in which children and the aged lived in squalid conditions{Source}. .

He response to these grim realities was the Princess Margareta of Romania Foundation, a charitable organisation which she founded in 1990 together with her father, H.M. King Michael{Source}. The two married in 1966, spending the first years of their marriage between Romania, Switzerland, and a number of other European countries, to which they traveled to support Foundation projects, the cause of Romania at the level of international diplomatic relations, and on the occasion of the Prince’s artistic tours{Source}.

Since 2001, Princess Margareta of Romania and Prince Radu of Romania have lived at the Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest, and undertake public engagements in the capital, around Romania, and abroad, contributing to the successful modernisation of Romania, reconciliation with the past, and linking the country to the European and trans-Atlantic family of nations{Source}.

In 2008, the Princess experienced, alongside her parents and Prince Radu, two emotional moments: the return of His Majesty King Michael to Castle Peles, after an absence of sixty years, and the Diamond Wedding of King Michael and Queen Anne{Source}.
